Long collaboration with Albertengo: custom design and functional furniture for corporate and museum spaces

Long collaboration with Albertengo: custom design and functional furniture for corporate and museum spaces

The collaboration between Saglietti Group and Albertengo Panettoni was born in 2016, when two family businesses rooted in artisan tradition met: us with decades of experience in carpentry and them with nearly two centuries of history in the confectionery industry. The bond between our companies is based on shared values: respect for tradition, attention to detail and passion for quality. Thanks to this synergy, each project becomes not just a functional intervention, but a true custom design experience.

Meeting room and showroom: the first step in a long collaboration

The first assignment involved the transformation of a 46-square-meter room into a meeting room/showroom. The main challenge? To integrate 40 linear meters of brushed ash shelves with concealed structure and integrated LED lighting, ensuring aesthetics and functionality. Using modular solutions and concealed systems, each element was designed to be flexible, stable, and adaptable-a perfect example of how bespoke design and handcrafted engineering can coexist without compromise.

The corporate heart: indoor museum and dynamic woodwork

Between 2018 and 2019, we designed the Albertengo Corporate Museum, a 245-square-meter space designed to tell the story of the brand.

  • Dynamic boiserie: open panels and niches, some furniture and lacquered in red and gold, with matte print inspired by packaging snowflakes.
  • Corporate plastic: central table with glass case and integrated lighting, ready to grow in 2025 to support the company’s expansion.
  • Modular solutions: self-supporting wood and glass portals, inspectable platforms and easily upgradable graphics, demonstrating flexibility and durability over time.

Integrated space management enabled the creation of functional and aesthetically consistent environments, combining tradition and innovation.

Executive offices: elegance and functionality

Massimo and Livia Albertengo’s offices combine refined aesthetics and tailored solutions:

  • Administration office: 8 desks and 6 cabinets with double sliding doors, modular partitions to create a cafeteria area without masonry work.
  • Maximum’s office: furniture on wheels, storage wall with integration of pillar and heating carrier, work surface optimization.
  • Livia’s office: custom slanted desk for slanted wall, glass writing insert, stylistic continuity with burgundy color details to stand out from Massimo’s green office.

Each design choice was guided by functionality, aesthetic harmony, and future flexibility, demonstrating the effectiveness of modular design andcustom craftsmanship.

Innovation and flexibility: from point of sale to graphics Baj Milan

In 2023, the acquisition of the historical brand Baj Milan brought new challenges: the opaque graphics on the glazing and paneling were updated without replacing the modular panels, highlighting the durability and adaptability of our systems. Thanks to the modular design, each element can be easily disassembled, repainted and updated, ensuring aesthetic and functional continuity in future projects.

A partnership that grows over time

From 2016 to the present, the journey with Albertengo has shown how craftsmanship, modularity, and bespoke design can transform complex challenges into elegant and enduring solutions. Each project tells a story: from a meeting room to a museum, from executive offices to an interior retail outlet, with attention to detail and integrated functionality. This collaboration demonstrates how family businesses with shared values can create unique spaces, strengthening the link between design, history and innovation.

ACA Alba: identity, territory and representation

ACA Alba: identity, territory and representation

Customized meeting rooms for institutions and companies

Designing an institutional meeting room means finding a precise balance between representation, functionality and durability. It is not just a matter of furnishing a space, but of translating the identity of an entity or company into an environment capable of accommodating decision-making, discussion and future vision.
For Saglietti Group, which specializes in the design and creation of custom-made furniture for offices, executive spaces and institutional environments, each project is born from careful listening to needs and developed through an integrated process that combines design, engineering and production.

ACA Alba: identity, territory and representation

The design of the new meeting rooms of theAlba Merchants Association (ACA) fits into the institutional heart of the city of Alba. Founded in 1945, ACA today represents more than 2,700 businesses in commerce, tourism and services and is a point of reference for the economic and social development of Alba, Langhe and Roero.
After the restyling of theAlba Tourist Office, this new assignment represented another step in an ongoing dialogue with the territory: the request was clear from the beginning, to create two representative meeting rooms, elegant but measured, authoritative but never ostentatious, capable of lasting in both aesthetic and technological terms.

An integrated institutional interior design project

The rooms on the completely new fifth floor were conceived as executive spaces with high functional content. The project required an integrated approach: custom-made furniture, technological systems, materials and finishes had to dialogue seamlessly. The design followed a precise logic: make the value visible, the technology invisible. Everything needed to be there, but without ever disturbing the formal cleanliness of the spaces.

The meeting table as the technological heart of the space

In the main hall, the centerpiece is a large 4.80 × 2.40-meter custom-made meeting table designed to seat up to twenty people. The anthracite lacquered wood base dialogues with an iron support structure, while the painted natural oak top restores warmth and visual solidity. The real complexity of the design is hidden inside: the table integrates advanced electrical and audiovisual systems, which are completely concealed. Six wooden top-accesses have been inserted into the top, a refined choice that surpasses the standard metal solution, already prepared for electrical outlets, USB and audio-video wiring.
Each element is accessible and upgradeable, but never invasive to the overall aesthetic.

Equipped paneling and invisible installations

The table dialogues with a custom-made 2.70-meter-high paneling, designed to accommodate a 100-inch monitor and conceal all technical components: dedicated PCs, cabling, connections, and management systems.
The lower panels are fully serviceable, allowing future maintenance and upgrades without invasive intervention. The connection between the table and the wall is provided by an electrical system on the floor prepared by the company. Saglietti Group intervened by precisely reopening the portions necessary for the passage of cables, ensuring continuity between infrastructure and furniture.
The result is a technological system designed for today but engineered to adapt to tomorrow’s needs.

Two rooms, one design consistency

The second, more intimate room houses a 140-cm round table made with the same construction logic as the main room: anthracite lacquer, natural oak and iron frame. Completing the room is a custom-made storage cabinet, essential and functional. The visual coherence between the two spaces is reinforced by the choice of wallpaper, with a pattern inspired by nature, capable of creating depth, visual comfort and a discreet link with the Langhe territory.

Integrated design and technical coordination

The success of the project was possible thanks to close collaboration among all the figures involved. Interior designer Elisa Mondino oversaw the construction management, ensuring consistency among the workers and adherence to timelines in a context as delicate as a fully operational historic building.
The engineering of the load-bearing furnishings was taken care of by designer Davide Di Polito, whose work enabled flawless integration of the systems. The clarity of the steps and the precision of the arrangements were also appreciated during installation by the electricians, confirming a project designed to really work.

A project designed to last

Today, ACA ‘s meeting rooms are representative, balanced and technologically advanced spaces. The quality of materials, hidden engineering and the possibility of continuous inspection and updating make these rooms ready to evolve over time, without losing aesthetic coherence.
They are spaces that tell the identity of a historic institution, but more importantly, they are designed to accompany its future.

Libellula Srl office restyling: design, innovation and corporate identity

Libellula Srl office restyling: design, innovation and corporate identity

The restyling of Libellula Srl ‘s offices transformed about 700 square meters of industrial warehouse into a fluid, bright and tailored space, capable of telling the company’s identity through carefully designed proportions, materials and details.
Located in Cherasco, Libellula Srl is an international company in the development of software for sheet metal working and digitization of business processes, present in Europe, Asia, South America and the United States. The project perfectly reflects the concept of “Human Centric Innovation” in which technology, people and the future dialogue in a single language.

A project of synergy and shared creativity

The project was the result of collaboration with Studio QBO Architetti Associati in particular Caterina Ceresa and Roberto Cugnidoro, with whom an open and constructive dialogue was established. The architects were given complete creative freedom in reinterpreting the two floors of the corporate headquarters, while Saglietti Group translated the vision into concrete reality by engineering each element to ensure functionality, durability and consistency with the logic of furnishing and assembly.
This collaboration highlights our approach: dialogue, trust and mutual listening between designer and manufacturer, to create spaces that reflect the client’s identity.

Tailored materials, details and spaces

Each element of the furniture is designed to embody the values of innovation, transparency and collaboration:
White lacquered wood: brightness and clean lines;
Oak veneer: warmth and naturalness;
Glass: transparency and openness, also used in the executive tables.
Interesting achievements include curved glass walls made from straight modules that create a harmonious visual effect, and daisy-chained workstations that encourage collaboration and flexibility. Suspended drawer units and custom handles with the Libellula symbol in red and gray add recognition and warmth to the rooms.

Brandpathy: when furniture tells the customer’s identity

This project is the perfect example of our Brandpatia philosophy: understanding the customer’s values and translating them into sensory experiences and identity spaces, where those who inhabit them recognize themselves and move naturally. It is not just about furniture, but spaces that tell the story and values of the company.

Special thanks

Heartfelt thanks:
to the ownership of Libellula Srl for the trust and creative freedom granted;
to Studio QBO Architetti Associati, especially Caterina Ceresa and Roberto Cugnidoro, for design sensitivity and constant dialogue;
to our in-house team, especially Daria Bergese for precision, method and attention to detail.

Design, technology and precision: our journey with Ekinex

Design and technology for innovative corporate spaces

At the heart of the collaboration with Ekinex, a leader in intelligent building automation, we developed interventions that combine aesthetics, functionality and technical precision. The project resulted in Spazio Red, an incubator of more than 1,200 square meters consisting of offices, laboratories and operational areas designed to support dynamic teams engaged in innovation for home & building automation, IoT and Industry 4.0.

Identity, functionality and design: a concept taking shape in Ekinex spaces

Offices and meeting room – the first collaboration (2016)

The first phase of the project involved the second floor, where the initial drawings were transformed into actual construction solutions with attention to detail to reflect the brand identity and increase operational efficiency. Major deliverables include:

  • Birch plywood and glass partition walls, shaped like small houses
  • Birch frames to define volume and depth, enhancing light and room perception
  • Custom-designed desks with built-in cable hatches and red surfaces in brand recall

These elements ensure visual lightness, aesthetic consistency and practicality for daily work.

Evolving spaces: new areas for meetings, gatherings and operational work

Mini-meeting and meeting rooms – ground floor expansion (2023)

2023, Ekinex entrusted Saglietti Group with the transformation of an area of about 95 square meters on the ground floor, resulting in a complete and functional intervention:

  • Self-supporting curtain wall made of laminated glass, with internal casing to increase depth and transparency
  • Booth for mini-meetings with colorful faux leather sofas, built-in sockets and side tables made without visible screws
  • Custom-made meeting room with 2.40 × 2.40 m table, iron frame covered with birch, grommet holes and wooden frame

The solutions created ensure flexible, ergonomic spaces that are perfectly consistent with the visual identity of the brand.

From design to production: synergy and control at every stage

Technical collaborations and in-house production

The strength of our method lies in the integrated management of all stages: design, production and assembly. Collaboration with selected partners, such as Vetreria Cassinelli, has made it possible to produce high quality laminated and tempered glass. The end result is a balance between aesthetics, safety and functionality, guaranteed without interfering with the daily activities of the company.

Spaces designed to grow

Each intervention carried out for Ekinex reflects our approach: listening, understanding needs and translating them into concrete solutions. Key elements include:

  • Modular and customizable spaces
  • Design consistent with corporate identity

Tourism in the spotlight

Every territory has a voice. Our task is to build its shape.

The Alba Tourism Office redevelopment project allowed us to shape a strategic public space in the heart of the Langhe with a clear vision: to create an environment capable of welcoming, orienting and telling.

A place that, while maintaining an institutional function, must restore anexperience of warmth, functionality and deep connection with the local landscape and culture.

Identifying design and operational functionality in downtown Alba

A new space to welcome, inform, tell

The new Alba Tourism Office, in Piazza Risorgimento 2, is now a modular and dynamic environment, redesigned to improve usability and restore coherence between function and image. The pre-existing space-about 110 square meters in a 1980s structure-has been completely transformed according to a concept developed by Arch. Marco Poncellini and Elisabetta Grasso (Langhe Experience), in close synergy with Saglietti Group, which handled executive design, production, construction management and construction site.

Materials, colors, and geometries are designed to enhance territorial identity: solid oak, natural finishes, warm tones, and backlit images of the hills create an immersive environment designed to welcome visitors and tell them about an area even before words, with the space itself.

The heart of the project is a large solid oak central table, made from Legnami Priola: symbolic and functional fulcrum of the reception. Concentric circles develop from this point: double-sided information modules, four accessible operating stations, a children’s corner, backlit visual drapes, and narrative points designed for all audiences.

Within the tight timeframe imposed by the construction site (30 days), the existing porcelain tile raised floor was enhanced through custom-made solid oak squares, thanks to the collaboration with Giorio Srl: a solution that integrates plant functionality and aesthetic comfort.

The details revealSaglietti Group’s attention to craftsmanship: curved skirting boards shaped to fit existing columns, a custom-made cover for the air conditioning pump turned into a display cabinet, counters accessible to people with disabilities without sacrificing aesthetics.

Synergy between design, production and construction site

A full service: from concept to assembly

The strength of Saglietti Group is the ability to offer an integrated service, where every stage-from design to production to assembly-is handled in-house with precision, reliability and attention to detail.

  • Technical design and prototyping by Daria Bergese
  • Construction management and site coordination, supervised by Elisa Mondino
  • In-house production: joinery, pre-assembly, painting and printing
  • Local technical collaborations: Legnami Priola, Giorio Srl and other specialized suppliers

This approach allowed us to manage the site without ever interrupting office operations, ensuring a smooth transition between old and new configuration.

The office today is more than an information point: it is an experiential space, where visitors can recognize the visual codes of the area, feel welcomed and quickly find what they need, thanks to a layout that is clear, accessible and deeply connected to the cultural landscape of the Langhe.
